 There's no place like home for Hume-Fogg, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the Marshall County Tigers out  8-7. For Hume-Fogg, this counts as revenge for the   18-2 loss Marshall County walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in March of 2023.
  George Esposito was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Esposito was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Brady Schneiderman was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.  Buren Bradley was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 On Marshall County's side,  Aden Kirby led a balanced group of hitters,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Reid Mitchell, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI and a  stolen base.
 Hume-Fogg's win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-3. As for Marshall County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hume-Fogg will  take on McGavock at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hume-Fogg is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.4  runs per game this season. As for Marshall County, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Columbia Central at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
