Volleyball Recap: Andrew Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Andrew, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Kankakee Kays on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Thunderbolts as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Andrew not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Kankakee between 15 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16.

Dominic Ennis paced Andrew's offense, picking up nine kills. Ennis got some help from Aidan Aguayo and his 12 assists. Joe Boss controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Andrew picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-14. As for Kankakee, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Andrew has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Elgin on the 19th. As for Kankakee, they will square off against Rich Township at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Kays' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
