After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Portal, Claxton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers 10-0. Melissa Ajtun was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Claxton's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for McIntosh County Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Claxton will host Screven County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Screven County's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Claxton's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for McIntosh County Academy, they will be playing at home against Portal at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Portal knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully McIntosh County Academy likes a good challenge.
