Softball Recap: Lake Oswego Comes Up Short

Lake Oswego lost against West Linn two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lakers fell 5-2 to the Lions. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avery Latta was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Lake Oswego's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for West Linn, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Looking ahead, Lake Oswego will head out on the road to take on Tualatin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lakers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Timberwolves have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for West Linn, they will square off against Tigard at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
