Forrest is a perfect 9-0 against Grundy County since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Forrest will take on Grundy County at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Grundy County will be up against a hot Forrest squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Forrest came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against Rockford Christian. While the Rockets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Reid Gentry looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kason Fuller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Micah Morgan also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Forrest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Grundy County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past Rocket City 7-6. The victory was some much needed relief for the Yellowjackets as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Forrest's record is now 9-6. As for Grundy County, their record now sits at 3-10.

Forrest was able to grind out a solid win over Grundy County in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forrest since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
