Basketball Recap: Kiwe Miller Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Royal Valley faced off against Holton on Tuesday. The Royal Valley Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Holton Wildcats 47-44. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-50 on February 4th.

Royal Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but KiWe Miller led the charge by going 9-for-19 en route to 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those 22 points gave Miller a new career-high. Panno Wahwassuck was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Royal Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.

Royal Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points over those games. Holton's loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
