Basketball Recap: Gateway Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against DMLK last Thursday, Gateway came back down to earth. The Olympians were dealt a 74-36 defeat at the hands of the Greeley Central Wildcats on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Olympians' undefeated start to the season.

Aaniya Davis had a dynamite game For Greeley Central., going 12-for-21 on her way to 26 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. What's more, Davis also posted a 57% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Mayra Flores, who posted six points and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gateway fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Gateway will be home for the holidays to greet Northglenn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greeley Central, they will be taking part in a tournament against Standley Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
