Basketball Game Preview: Keystone Wildcats vs. Firelands Falcons

The Keystone Wildcats will face off against the Firelands Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keystone is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.3 points per game this season.

Keystone is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Steele just ended the team's nine-game winning streak last Friday. They fell 63-50 to the Comets. The loss put an end to the Wildcats' undefeated start to the season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Liam Goran, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Colt Cowling, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 14 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Firelands beat Cloverleaf 57-50 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Firelands pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Keystone, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

Keystone came up short against Firelands in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 65-53. Can Keystone avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
