Softball Recap: Snowflake Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Snowflake had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Winslow Bulldogs by a score of 5-2. This was payback for the Lobos, who suffered a 15-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kashlynn Cantrell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kelsey Scarbrough, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Riley Perkins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Snowflake's record is now 11-8. As for Winslow, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
