Basketball Recap: South Milwaukee Comes Up Short

South Milwaukee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Pius XI Catholic Popes 73-21. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Popes are ranked 18th).

South Milwaukee's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Pius XI Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

South Milwaukee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 69-21 defeat against Whitnall on the 14th. As for Pius XI Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 58-32 loss against Pewaukee on the 14th.
