While Mountain View's win against Evergreen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Thunder sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Plainsmen on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-3 on Monday.

Caleb Long looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brody Fellows was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Logan Josephsen also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Evergreen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Mountain View will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Plainsmen: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
