Recap: Brooke Bruins vs. Oak Glen Golden Bears
After soaring to 70 points the game before, the Brooke Bruins were a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 1-0 to Oak Glen. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Brooke came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 355th, while Oak Glen is ranked 718th).
Brooke's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Oak Glen, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooke will take on Steubenville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Steubenville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. Oak Glen on the road again on Saturday and play against Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Catholic Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Saturday.
