Game recap: Landrum High School Football Team defeats Powdersville

GREENVILLE, S.C. - the Cardinals scored 21 points in the second quarter to secure a big 38-13 victory over Powdersville (Greenville, S.C.) on Saturday.

Landrum scored on a touchdown run, a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown in the quarter.

After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the second quarter, LHS was up 21-7 at the half.

The Cardinals grew their lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. Landrum scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run.

LHS came in allowing an average of 26.8 points per game this season.



When the two teams played each other last season, the Cardinals came away with a 29-19 victory.

The win brought Landrum's winning streak to three games.

In a AA Region I game next week Powdersville (3-3) takes on Pendleton, and Landrum (4-2) will go up against Chesnee also in a AA Region I game.
