Baseball Recap: Indian Creek Takes a Loss

Indian Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-6 to the Edgewood Mustangs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If the Braves were looking for revenge after losing 15-6 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Colt DeHart was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. He also put up a run, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Landon Hamilton, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Indian Creek's record now sits at 3-3. As for Edgewood, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Indian Creek will head out to square off against Shelbyville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Edgewood, they will welcome Bedford North Lawrence at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Stars' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
