It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Waverly Tigers 6-5. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Waverly, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11.

Coming up, Valley will head out to challenge Minford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Waverly, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Westfall at 5:00 p.m.
