League recap: Raleigh, McLaurin tied at the top

3A Region 6 league recap: 3/8/13

First place in the standings of 3A Region 6 is up for grabs this week, as McLaurin sits tied atop the standings with Raleigh.

Top honors in the league this week go to the Lions, which finished with two wins overall, good for best in the league. Raleigh beat Pelahatchie 9-7.

The Lions' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing four hits and three walks to lead the league in both categories.

Daniel Briner drove in five runs for St. Andrews Episcopal over the past seven days. He has six RBIs this season, tops in the league.



Luke Tally drove in five runners on Tuesday in Raleigh's 14-3 victory over Choctaw Central. He went 3-for-3 and scored three runs.
