Garfield put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 12-8 win over the Capital Golden Eagles.

Sammy Breckenridge spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Michelle Arimura, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Sula Yogi-Adams was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Garfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Capital only posted an OBP of .406.

Garfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Capital, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Garfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-6 loss against Rocky Mountain on the 21st. As for Capital, they have also already played their next game, a 14-1 win against Caldera on the 21st.
