Wauneta-Palisade posted their biggest  win since December 6, 2024 on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wallace Wildcats 54-21. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  57-33  back in December of 2024.
Wauneta-Palisade found their leader in freshman  Mesa Cox, who  went 6 of 13  en route to 17 points in addition to seven  assists and five  rebounds.  Kamryn Fanning was another key player,  putting up ten  points along with six  boards and four  steals.
 Wauneta-Palisade  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 25  offensive boards. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The  victory snapped Wauneta-Palisade's losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 6-10 record. As for Wallace,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-12.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wauneta-Palisade will challenge Medicine Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on February 6th. Wauneta-Palisade has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Wallace, they will face off against Brady at 6:15  p.m.  on February 4th.
