Softball Recap: Alta Comes Up Short

Alta and Viewmont squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Alta had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 13-11. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 7-5.

Alta got a massive performance out of Addyson Brownell, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Brielle Watson, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Alta's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Viewmont, their record now sits at 12-14.

Alta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Viewmont, they will challenge West Jordan at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
