Recap: Burlington City Blue Devils vs. Burlington Township Falcons
This season hasn't been kind to the Burlington City Blue Devils, who are still winless after their fourth game. They fell 59-47 to Burlington Township on Tuesday. Burlington City was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Burlington Township apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Burlington Township was led to victory by Aaron Ferguson and Baron Davis. Ferguson dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Davis scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least 25% of Burlington Township's points. Quayd Hendryx was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Burlington City bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Burlington Township, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burlington City will be home for the holidays to greet Trenton Catholic Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Burlington Township will be home for the holidays to greet Cinnaminson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
