Softball Recap: Triad Comes Up Short

Triad fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Greenon on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 6-3 to the Knights. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Triad's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Greenon, they moved to 7-11 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Coming up, Triad is taking a road trip to square off against Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Irish at the right time seeing as the Irish are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Greenon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairbanks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for the Knights: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while the Panthers have snatched up eight consecutive wins on the road.
