Canterbury's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They blew past the Admiral Farragut BlueJackets 7-0. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the BlueJackets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Gabriel Blaxberg was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Blaxberg wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ian Robinson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Brody Payne also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Canterbury's record is now 5-2. As for Admiral Farragut, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coming up, Canterbury will venture away from home to face off against Grace Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Canterbury 2.6, Grace Christian 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Admiral Farragut, they will be playing at home against Indian Rocks Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Admiral Farragut's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Indian Rocks Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
