Baseball Recap: Garrett Railroaders vs. Churubusco Eagles

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westview, Garrett was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the Churubusco Eagles out 5-4. That's more bragging rights for Garrett, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Elijah Chapman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Lucas Collins was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Ice, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
