Soccer Recap: Burroughs Gets the Win

Burroughs was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Glendale Nitros 3-2. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Alex Loera and Jordan Seas scored all three of Burroughs' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Burroughs' victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-1-2 and their overall record up to 5-8-2. As for Glendale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6-4.

Burroughs didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Muir on the 1st. Glendale has also already played their next game, a 4-0 loss against Pasadena on the 31st.
