Basketball Game Preview: John Marshall Monarchs vs. West Muskingum Tornadoes

The John Marshall Monarchs will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the West Muskingum Tornadoes at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Monday, John Marshall came up short against Bellaire and fell 85-78. While the Monarchs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Big Reds 22-18 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Muskingum, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Barnesville 74-28 on Friday. The Tornadoes' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

John Marshall now has a losing record at 2-3. As for West Muskingum, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
