Beecher has gone 6-1 against Peotone recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bobcats will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. Beecher is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
It was a proper cat-fight when Beecher duked it out with Donovan on Tuesday. The Bobcats blew past the Wildcats 18-1. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by nine runs or more this season.
Carmela Irwin made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Beecher got a massive performance out of Makenzie Johnson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Wuest, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
Beecher was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Peotone fell victim to Wilmington and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sophie Klawitter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.
Peotone's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Beecher, their victory bumped their record up to 22-0.
Peotone's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Beecher hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .426. It's a different story for Peotone, though, as they've only averaged .232. Will they be able to contain Beecher's hitters?
Beecher came out on top in a nail-biter against Peotone when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 2-0. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
