Southern Lee won the last time they faced Hoke County and things went their way on Monday too. The Southern Lee Cavaliers strolled past the Hoke County Bucks with points to spare, taking the game 55-37. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Bucks are ranked 335th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Hoke County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gabriel Mcleod posted 12 points.

Southern Lee's record is now 20-3. As for Hoke County, they dropped their record down to 7-16 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Southern Lee has already played their next game, a 62-51 win against Lee County on the 18th. Hoke County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
