Basketball Game Preview: Gatesville Hornets vs. Robinson Rockets

Gatesville and Robinson are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Gatesville Hornets will be playing at home against the Robinson Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gatesville will be strutting in after a victory while Robinson will be coming in after a loss.

Gatesville played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They had just enough and edged China Spring out 42-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hornets have posted since November 8, 2024.

Meanwhile, Robinson suffered their biggest defeat since January 26, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt an 89-34 loss at the hands of La Vega. The Rockets have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Gatesville's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-11. As for Robinson, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Gatesville came up short against Robinson in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 47-37. Can Gatesville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
