Volleyball Recap: Shady Spring Tigers vs. Morgantown Mohigans
Shady Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morgantown Mohigans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mohigans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Morgantown scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17.
Alivia Stover paced Shady Spring's offense, picking up five kills. Stover got some help from Reagan Mann and her ten assists. Alessandra (Allie) Fragile controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Shady Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 28-10-1. As for Morgantown, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5-1 record this season.
