Basketball Game Preview: Montour Spartans vs. West Allegheny Indians

Montour has won four straight games at home (dating back to last season), while West Allegheny has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Montour Spartans will host the West Allegheny Indians at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Montour saw some tournament action on Monday. They snuck past Dobyns-Bennett with a 74-68 victory.

Ama Tening Sow continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 20 boards. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Batch, who posted 14 points.

Meanwhile, West Allegheny didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Laurel Highlands on Monday, but they still walked away with a 62-56 win.

Montour's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for West Allegheny, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Montour beat West Allegheny 50-41 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Will Montour repeat their success, or does West Allegheny have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
