Basketball Recap: FAMU DRS Comes Up Short

FAMU DRS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 75-5 loss at the hands of the Potter's House Christian Lions. While losing is never fun, the Baby Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 484th, while the Lions are ranked 15th).

Potter's House Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alanna Tatum led the charge by going 10 for 17 en route to 23 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Those 23 points gave Tatum a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Dagba, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 16 points along with seven steals and five assists.

FAMU DRS's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Potter's House Christian, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

FAMU DRS has already played their next game (against Jefferson County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Potter's House Christian will square off against The Rock at 5:30 p.m. on January 28th.
