Baseball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Southern managed to slip by Frankfort the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rams lost 13-5 to the Falcons on Wednesday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Brayden Upole and Reece Tasker stepped up to the plate in a big way. Upole scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Tasker scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Ben Lohr also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Southern's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Frankfort, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Southern will challenge Mountain Ridge on Thursday. As for Frankfort, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Frankfort Falcons face off against Hedgesville Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
