Basketball Recap: Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Comes Up Short

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North lost against Douglass back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers took a blow against the Douglass Eagles, falling 70-38. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Douglass to victory, but perhaps none more so than Francesca Svizzero, who went 8 for 12 on her way to 16 points. The dominant performance gave Svizzero a new career-high in points. Mya Ford was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Douglass, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers duke it out with the Largo Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Douglass, they will face off against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South on Thursday.
