After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, Murphy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Robbinsville Black Knights 4-3. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Colton Morgan was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

The win snapped Murphy's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-8 record. As for Robbinsville, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

Looking ahead, Robbinsville will square off against Tellico Plains at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Murphy will be paying especially close attention to the Black Knights' match: after the Black Knights faces off against the Bears, they'll take on Murphy again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
