Softball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Spanish Springs' Fourth in Last Five Outings

Spanish Springs had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Reed Raiders on Saturday. Ten seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Maddy Marshall, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madison Rogers, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Spanish Springs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive matches.
