After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Algonac was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell 6-2 to the Marysville Vikings. The Muskrats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Algonac saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayla Raines, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Algonac's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Marysville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Algonac will take on Lake Orion at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Marysville, they will venture away from home to take on St. Clair at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
