Soccer Game Preview: Lewis County vs. Richland

The Lewis County Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Richland Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lewis County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Lewis County came up short against Loretto on Friday, falling 10-1.

Meanwhile, Richland came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 4-1 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Richland hit Culleoka with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gabe Risner, Hudson Dickey, Jaxon Hunter, and Ryan Rose.

Lewis County's loss dropped their record down to 0-12-1. As for Richland, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1-1.

Lewis County suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Richland in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
