Softball Recap: Globe Sets Scoring Season-High Against Apache Junction

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Globe). Everything went their way against the Apache Junction Prospectors on Monday as they made off with a 22-6 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-1 on April 3rd.

The team relied heavily on Antonella Franco, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with six stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Ariana Lopez also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Globe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Globe has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Apache Junction, they dropped their record down to 0-16 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road.

As of now, neither Globe nor the Prospectors have any future games scheduled.
