Basketball Recap: Watersmeet Comes Up Short

Watersmeet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 60-15 defeat at the hands of the Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes. While losing is never fun, the Nimrods can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 657th, while the Lakes are ranked 177th).

Watersmeet's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lake Linden-Hubbell, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Watersmeet has already played their next matchup (against Houghton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lake Linden-Hubbell will be playing at home against Baraga at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Lake Linden-Hubbell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
