Baseball Recap: Perkiomen Valley Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Perkiomen Valley entered their tilt with Owen J. Roberts on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Wildcats. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 4-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Michael Strechay was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Aidan Autovino was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Andrew Keenan, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Perkiomen Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Owen J. Roberts, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
