Basketball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies, falling 69-40. The Bulldogs lost against the Huskies in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 67-16 score last time.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Madison will be home for the holidays to greet Tri-Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elk Point-Jefferson, they are taking a road trip to face off against Sioux Falls Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Huskies their first taste of in-conference action this season.
