Softball Recap: Allegheny-Clarion Valley Wins Going Away Against West Middlesex

Allegheny-Clarion Valley had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt West Middlesex on Monday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Big Reds.

Emerson Stevens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, Alivya Hartzell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Hayden, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Middlesex, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.

Coming up, Allegheny-Clarion Valley will be playing at home against Moniteau at 4:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for West Middlesex, they will face off against Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
