Baseball Recap: Franklin Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Franklin never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Pleasant Grove Eagles as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won nine in a row.

Dylan Wood looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Brandon Williams was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Royal McKinney, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Franklin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive matchups.

Franklin's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Pleasant Grove, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Franklin beat the Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.
