North Duplin had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Southside Seahawks 27-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rebels also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

North Duplin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carell Phillips, who rushed for 86 yards and one TD. Keiz Brock was in the mix as well, providing the Rebels with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Duplin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 228 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 195 rushing yards in 12 consecutive games dating back to last season.

North Duplin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ethan Turnage and Vance Carter.

Coming up, North Duplin will face off against Rosewood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southside, they will square off against North Edgecombe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
