Preview: Dunbar Wildcats vs. Carter-Riverside Eagles        
        
		
            
 After five games on the road, Dunbar is heading back home. They will take on the Carter-Riverside Eagles at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hopefully Dunbar is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Carter-Riverside in Texas (Dunbar is ranked 510th, while Carter-Riverside is ranked 1603rd).
 Dunbar scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. They blew past Diamond Hill-Jarvis 73-14 on the road. Dunbar has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine  matchups by 20  points or more this season.
  Jordan McIntosh continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  dropping  a triple-double on 26 points, 15  rebounds, and ten  assists. That's the first time this season that  she  posted eight or more   assists.  Ariel Duran was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals.
 Meanwhile, Carter-Riverside's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  back in December of 2023 after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Western Hills, falling  44-5. Carter-Riverside was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  26-5.
 Dunbar is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last nine contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Carter-Riverside, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost nine of their last ten games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
 Everything came up roses for Dunbar against Carter-Riverside when the teams last played  back in December of 2023 as the  team secured a  56-3 win. With Dunbar ahead  28-3 at the half, the  match was all but over already.
