Recap: Alleghany Trojans vs. South Stokes Sauras
The Alleghany Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 47-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Stokes. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Alleghany in their matchups with South Stokes: they've now lost six in a row.
Alleghany's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elizabeth Collins, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Glenn, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Alleghany dropped their record down to 1-15 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for South Stokes, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Mount Airy the next time they take the court. South Stokes will host Mount Airy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Alleghany will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
