Softball Recap: Randolph-Henry Statesmen vs. Nandua Warriors

Randolph-Henry waltzed into their match on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Nandua Warriors onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Four seems to be a good number for Randolph-Henry as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Nandua's batters probably weren't too happy with Danner Allen, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 17 Ks (she gave up two walks). Allen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings every time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Glenna Vereen, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Randolph-Henry has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Nandua, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7-1.
