Volleyball Game Preview: Auburndale Bloodhounds vs. Lakeland Dreadnaughts

The Auburndale Bloodhounds will square off against the Lakeland Dreadnaughts at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Auburndale took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Lake Region 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Bloodhounds in their matchups with the Thunder: they've now won three in a row.

Auburndale not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lake Region between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Lakeland was not the first on the board last Thursday, but they got there more often. They won by a set and slipped past Winter Haven 3-2.

In the three sets Lakeland was on fire: they won each by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 0-25, 0-25, 25-0, 25-0, 15-0.

Auburndale's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lakeland, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
