Basketball Game Preview: Dracut Middies vs. Tyngsborough Tigers

Dracut is on a six-game streak of home losses, Tyngsborough a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Dracut Middies will welcome the Tyngsborough Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Dracut lost to Tewksbury Memorial at home by a 60-45 margin. While losing is never fun, the Middies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Redmen are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Tyngsborough played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 76-36 defeat at the hands of Clinton. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Tyngsborough's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Dracut, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Dracut strolled past Tyngsborough in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 52-38. Does Dracut have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tyngsborough turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
