Soccer Game Preview: Pierce vs. Williams

Pierce is 1-8-1 against Williams since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bears will host the Yellowjackets at 3:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Pierce's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Winters 1-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Williams). Everything went their way against Maxwell on Monday as they made off with a 9-0 victory. Give Williams' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Maxwell from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Julian Garcia led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Williams' win bumped their record up to 7-1-4. As for Pierce, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1-2.
